August Workshops Announcement Healing Chronic Back Pain and Neck and shoulder Freedom

In August, My Body My Pilates will be hosting four workshops on the weekend of August 23rd and 24th. These are open to people to sign up and you can sign up for both morning sessions or all four sessions but please note you have to attend the morning sessions (part 1) to attend the part 2 afternoon sessions. Read on below to understand about all four workshops.


Healing Chronic Lower Back Pain - Part 1 





Join Pilates educator Helen Zhang for Healing Chronic Lower Back Pain – Part 1, a 3-hour workshop designed to expand your knowledge and better support your clients, and help you better understand the root causes of lower back discomfort and guide you toward long-term relief by optimizing your movements.



 Is This Workshop for You?

  • You are a Pilates instructor who has had at least mat and/or reformer training. 

  • You are suffering from chronic lower back pain and looking for solutions.


Back pain is one of the most common issues in today’s sedentary lifestyle. Whether caused by poor posture, lack of movement, or everyday stress, it can affect your ability to enjoy life and move with ease.


What You’ll Gain:

The workshop includes:

  • Spine and pelvic Anatomy in motion. 

  • How to observe and notice clients' wrong movement patterns that caused the pain. 

  • Mat and reformer exercises that can address the issue, how to help clients do correct. 

  • How to program for short-term goals and long-term goals.

Neck and Shoulder Freedom - Part 1





Tension in your neck and shoulders can impact your focus, sleep, mood, and overall mobility. Join Pilates educator Helen Zhang for  Neck and Shoulder Freedom – Part 1,  as she offers a 3-hour workshop designed to expand your knowledge and better support your clients; and help you release built-up tension, restore ease of movement, and prevent future discomfort.


Who Is This Workshop For?

  • You are a Pilates instructor who had at least mat and/or reformer training. 

  • You are suffering neck shoulder discomfort and looking for solutions.


What You’ll Learn:

The workshop includes:

  • Cervical spine Anatomy in motion

  • The relationship between eyes, head, neck and shoulders and breathing.

  • Mat exercises that can address the issue, cautions during teaching.  

  • Programming for short term goals and long term goals.

Neck and Shoulder Freedom- Part 2


 You must take Part 1 before taking Part 2.

  • You are a Pilates instructor who had at least mat and/or reformer training. 

  • You are experiencing stiffness from your neck and shoulders and looking for solutions.


What You’ll Learn:

The workshop includes:

  • Upper body Anatomy in motion. 

  • The relationship between scapular, rib cage and thoracic spine. 

  • Mat and reformer exercises that can address the issue and how to help your clients do them correctly. 

  • Programming for short-term goals and long-term goals.
