February is all about the power of two. Whether you’re looking for ways to pair up with your partner, boyfriend, girlfriend or your best friend, February is the perfect time of year to celebrate the people who add all the love into your life!


When you are doing Pilates as a couple, you are bonding and committing to each other using a buddy system. When it comes to exercise, studies show that you’re more likely to stick with a fitness routine when a partner is involved and experts say couples are happier when exercising together. It’s in that ‘buddy system’ spirit that we’ve planned out this special Pilates class for two to get you sweating without sacrificing your social hour. This Pilates workout, created by Helen Zhang, Principal Instructor of My Body My Pilates, takes the term power couple to a whole new level. Use the power of two to keep each other accountable and provide the actual resistance that makes this routine worth breaking a sweat over!

What you should keep in mind.

Don’t Try to Compete

A little playful competition can be a good thing for relationships, but your Pilates exercise isn’t really the best place to get competitive. To start, Pilates and competitiveness don’t exactly go hand in hand. But, it’s also important to keep your goals in mind, which are probably to become healthier and stronger while enjoying some time together.


Set Independent Goals

You’re likely coming at your Pilates practice from two different directions in terms of strength, fitness levels and endurance. Each of your body is going to respond to Pilates differently, so it’s important to set individual fitness goals.

The only goal you should make as a couple is to show up and support each other.


Think of Couple Pilates as a Date

The best way to share Pilates with your partner is by making a date out of it. This is a time when the two of you get to work closely together, one on one. It’s a chance to get to know your partner and grow as a couple. With the right mindset, Pilates can be a wonderful experience.

  • 55 minutes SPECIAL time slot for Couple Private Sessions at ¥11000 for 2 people. Mondays at 12 pm and 1 pm. Wednesdays at 1 pm for classes in English. Tuesdays at 6 pm, Thursdays at 8 pm and Fridays at 6 pm are for classes in Japanese. and more slots will be released soon.
