Myofascial Release Massage

We hold so much tension in our bodies as we sprint through our daily tasks and constantly run against time. Those who are very athletic and do a lot of sports may find their bodies having to hold a lot of pain due to injuries.
This is where a massage can really help to bring relief and help with healing.
We have good news to share because we are bringing Myofascial Release Massage, Sports Massage and Kampo (Chinese Herbs) Meridian Abdominal Massage to My Body My Pilates.
Myofascial Release Massage
Katie is the one of our Massage Therapists whose safe, gentle and skilled hands will be helping bodies release tension and pain. She is a licensed massage therapist and specialises in myofascial release.
Myofascial release is a modality that works on the structural systems of the body to improve posture, correct muscle imbalances and help prevent and recover from injury. Myofascial release tends to be deep and uses little oil. Katie also does craniosacral therapy and is a certified prenatal and postnatal massage therapist.

Brendan Loh is our Sports Massage Therapist with great understanding of muscular injury. He has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Notredame, Fremantle. Brendan has worked as a strength and conditioning coach and is a Level 1 sports trainer from Sports Medicine Australia. With his experience in sports massage for Australian football, rugby and karate teams, Brendan can help you get back in motion.

KAMPO (Chinese Herbs) MERIDIAN Abdominal Massage
Kayoko Hirano is a Kampo Abdominal Massage Therapist and Orthomolecular Medicine Advisor.
Both children and adults can benefit from this abdominal massage. It’s based on Eastern medicine combined with Guasha to go deeper into the digestive system to kickstart its natural detoxification process and improve gut motility.
What is abdominal massage good for?
Bloating, Insomnia, Migraine, Constipation, Anxiety, IBS, Diarrhea, Gerd, High blood pressure, PMS, Prenatal, Postnatal, etc.

What we offer at My Body My Pilates is a healthy and happy life under one roof. Whether it is having a massage session or coming for a Pilates group class, this is a place where your body can feel taken care of, strengthened and freed so it can support you to have a happy life.
We have new mothers who have come to Pilates to prepare for their delivery and returned to Pilates not long after to help regain strength and tone the body. Our prenatal and postnatal Pilates give mothers the confidence in their bodies, and a myofascial release massage can help provide relief and release any tension that may be in their bodies.
Some of our clients are sports enthusiasts and have found that Pilates can complement their sports training. A sports massage can further enhance a sports person's training programme.
