COVID-19, State of Emergency, Japan

April 10, 2020

Diary of Coronavirus, 2020

On April 7, Japan's Prime Minister, Abe Shinzō declared a State of Emergency covering 2 metropolitan areas and 5 prefectures: Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Osaka, Hyogo, Fukuoka.

It's no different from lockdown seen in the other countries fighting to stabilize the COVID-19 situation. This allows individual businesses to make the decision if you need to close the business, with the encouragement to stay at home.

So I closed all the group classes in the studio, only kept 2 private clients who needed Pilates for pain management. We're starting to bring our Pilates classes online. With the help from my fellow Pilates Instructors, Kasia and Santina, we are now able to offer more online classes to our clients.

We hope to continue our mission to get everyone happy with their bodies, to stay fit and healthy even in isolation. So come join us online.
