I am originally from Tampico, Mexico. I received a degree in communication sciences at the University of Noroeste in 1984 in Tampico, Tamaulipas. During university, I worked for two years at a political magazine where I conducted interviews and wrote articles on various topics. After graduating, I got married and moved to Japan with my husband. I have now been living in Japan for 33 years.

In the years 2002-2003, I took a diploma course for teaching Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Nebrija in Madrid. After completing this course, I began working as a Spanish teacher in different international schools in Japan, and also as a private tutor to individuals and groups.

From the age of 16, I’ve always been fascinated with studies related to Buddhism, Tai-chi, yoga, and meditation. There was something inside me that pushed me towards a spiritual path. I knew what my eyes and my senses were telling me was not the complete reality, there was something more that I was missing that my senses weren’t allowing me to perceive.

In 2013, I began studying Reiki and obtained my Reiki Master certificate. I began studying Reiki for many reasons, but my main motivation to become a Reiki Master was to awaken myself spiritually and energetically.

Not long after this, I began taking courses at the Chopra center and I knew then that my life was going to change. At the time, I didn’t fully know what meditation was and thought it was something only monks did. Nevertheless, I grew more curious and wanted to learn everything there was to know about this spiritual practice. I started participating in many workshops related to spiritual development. One of the first workshops I attended was led by Louise Hay, Dr.Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Gabby Bernstein.

I attended other workshops where I learned different styles of meditation, but I felt that it was never the type of meditation that I was searching for. Something was missing. I was still searching for that sense of peace that would help me find my true self, my spiritual self. Everything suddenly fell into place in 2011 when I discovered a book by Deepak Chopra called the “7 spiritual laws of success”. It was truly a transformative experience, and how I eventually discovered the workshops organized by the Chopra foundation related to spiritual development and meditation. It was through these workshops that I found what I was searching for, and began attending even more workshops and courses at the Chopra Center in San Diego, California. Through attending the various workshops, I started to feel a profound awakening in my heart and a new perspective on how I viewed and experienced my life. I realized that I needed to continue learning about the beautiful Vedanta teachings, which originated from India more than 5000 years ago and are still practiced by master gurus and yogis today.

These practices also helped me to better understand the needs of my own body, and recognize what it was that I really wanted in life. After attending multiple workshops, I finally decided to take the certificate program to become a meditation instructor in primordial sound meditation. I knew it was important for me to take this to further deepen my own personal practice and find greater peace in my mind, body & soul. I needed to find that tranquility that was missing in my life. I can say with all honesty that now I am more at peace, focused, and energized than ever before. I feel more in sync with what I want in life. The meditation teacher training, helped me discover the style of meditation that worked for me, and to better understand the purpose of mantras in meditation. I now have over 9 years of meditation experience.

I begin and end each day with a 30-minute meditation, and as a result, I have seen great changes in myself. I feel more at peace and connected to nature surrounding me. I took this teacher training course most of all for myself, to deepen my practice and learn more about myself. I initially did not have the intention to teach others, but I now have this great need to share this experience with others in hopes that it will also transform their lives.

With infinite love,

I am so glad that you have chosen to take this journey to self-discovery.
